LEARNING OBJECTIVES - This course was designed to allow the reader to:
• Recognize how many survivors of a motor vehicle accidents (MVA) experience Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
• Learn ways to treat patients with PTSD due to an MVA
• Recognize the clinical concerns with working with clients who suffered physical injury in an MVA that have left them with ongoing pain

Edward J. Hickling is the founding partner of Capital Psychological Associates, an adjunct Professor in the Psychology Department at the State University of New York at Albany, and on the clinical faculty at the Albany Medical College, Department of Psychiatry.

Edward B. Blanchard received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Stanford University in 1969. In 2004 he retired from his position as Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the State University of New York at Albany and is currently Distinguished Professor Emeritus.
